Research Profile
As a pediatric dermatologist, Dr. Dyer is interested in cutaneous biology and disease especially as it applies to infants and children. He has several areas of interest that include genetic and epigenetic skin disease, transcutaneous exposure to environmental endocrine disruptors and epigenetic impacts, pediatric teledermatology, loxoscelism, the long-term impacts of systemic therapy for pediatric vascular lesions, the impacts of pediatric skin disorders on sleep in patients and families through the use of wearables and/or biomarkers, and spitz nevi and pediatric pigmented lesions.
Dr. Dyer is helping to launch a pediatric dermatology clinic to enhance pediatrician and primary care dermatologic knowledge in rural areas through the Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) project. He is also involved in dermatologic clinic trials and has brought pediatric clinical trials to MU Health Care.
