Uttara Nag, MD, is a vascular and endovascular surgeon with expertise in treating the full spectrum of vascular disease through minimally invasive approaches. She has specific interest in using minimally invasive surgeries and therapies to treat aortic aneurism, carotid occlusive disease, mesenteric vascular disease, peripheral arterial disease and vascular access for dialysis.

As a surgeon, Dr. Nag brings together technical and problem-solving skills to offer her patients precise solutions tailored to their specific condition. Her goal is to treat each patient as an individual with unique goals and to engage them as part of a team to tackle complex problems that can be life- and limb-threatening.

Research Profile

Uttara Nag, MD, is a physician and researcher interested in novel techniques in vascular surgery and clinical outcomes related to complex aortic aneurysm repair and peripheral arterial disease. She is also interested in surgical education, particularly in strategies to evaluate surgical technique.

Dr. Nag’s two-year research fellowship, focused on complications of bleeding and thrombosis in pediatric patients in response to vascular injury, provided valuable insight into the care of adult vascular patients who often have conditions that disrupt the body’s intrinsic balance and push patients towards life or limb threatening bleeding or clotting.
