MU Health Care will open its new Truman Blvd. Urgent Care in Jefferson City on May 30.

The new Urgent Care at 3527 West Truman Blvd., Suite 100A, will offer more space, more services and expanded hours, including longer weekend hours. New services will include imaging, lab draw and more. The new location replaces the Eastland location which closed on April 21 and the Edgewood location which will remain open through May 29 before joining the new and expanded location.

“MU Health Care is committed to providing convenient access to care throughout our communities, and this new larger Urgent Care location in Jefferson City will offer expanded space, service and hours to help us meet the needs of the region,” said MU Health Care CEO Ric Ransom. “This investment is the latest example of how the integration of MU Health Care with Capital Region Medical Center is leading to increased access to care.”

The new Urgent Care on Truman Blvd. will provide a convenient option for adults and children needing urgent, but not life-threatening medical care. It will feature MU Health Care providers offering care seven days a week for urgent, non-life-threatening conditions.

“This new expanded space will increase the number of patients we are able to see each day while also providing more convenient hours,” said Michelle Barg, MD, associate chief medical officer and a physician at MU Health Care. “In addition, we will be able to offer a higher level of care while also connecting patients with MU Health Care doctors in more than 80 specialties working together to ensure patients get the best care possible.”

Truman Blvd. Urgent Care in Jefferson City will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. seven days a week to serve patients on a walk-in basis.  For more information, muhealth.org/jc-urgentcare.
