Anthem Medicare Advantage members still have options

University of Missouri Health Care is notifying patients that our participation in Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield (Anthem) Medicare Advantage plans will terminate effective March 31, 2025. This means Anthem’s Medicare Advantage patients will no longer be able to access MU Health Care services, doctors, advanced practice providers and facilities on an in-network basis beginning Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

We remain in negotiations with Anthem for their commercial contracts, which include Anthem and other Blue Cross Blue Shield plans that patients get through their employer, as well as Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace and HealthLink plans.

MU Health Care has established a dedicated call center at 573-650-5409, available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST, to answer patient questions or concerns. Additional information on the Medicare plans MU Health Care participates in are available at muhealth.org/medicare.
