About
Zachary Floyd, DO, is a general surgeon who specializes in robotic and minimally invasive approaches for abdominal hernia repair, hiatal hernia repair, gallbladder disease, colon resection and thyroid surgery including parathyroidectomy.
Dr. Floyd planned to become a firefighter and paramedic like his father, but after becoming an EMT and working to apply to paramedic school, he took an anatomy and physiology course that fascinated him and inspired him to go to medical school. He prioritizes patient-centered care that uses shared decision-making to help each patient make an informed decision that fits their values and goals.
In his personal time, Dr. Floyd plays and watches ice hockey and relaxes by spending time at the lake. He and his wife, Samantha, have three daughters, as well as two dogs.
