Research Profile
Dr. Crim’s primary research interests are sports medicine, arthritis and tumors. She helped conduct part of the Glucosamine/Chondroitin Arthritis Intervention Trial (GAIT) by reviewing all the films for qualification and quality. This study focused specifically on osteoarthritis of the knee, and it sought to evaluate the effect of glucosamine hydrochloride, sodium chondroitin sulfate (alone and in combination), celecoxib and placebo on progressive loss of joint space width. Dr. Crim has more than 80 publications.
