Dr. Jeffrey Kunin is a diagnostic radiologist and has been in practice for more than three decades. He sees adult patients, and his primary focus is thoracic radiology. He treats patients with conditions such as cancer, pulmonary emboli, interstitial lung disease and rheumatoid arthritis, which can affect a person’s lungs. He also sees patients with lung infections, neoplasms, chest trauma and congenital abnormalities in the lungs and mediastinum. Dr. Kunin conducts lung cancer screening using CT scans.

Research Profile
Dr. Kunin’s primary research interests are malignant and benign lung cancers and congenital abnormalities in adults. Previously, he conducted a clinical trial where he looked at circulating antibodies towards lung cancer patients with CT-detected pulmonary modules. He is currently researching the use of hyperpolarized gases in MRI with Talissa Altes, MD, and Robert Thomen, PhD.
