About

Erica Sher, MD, is a board-certified otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon who provides care to children and adolescents with complex conditions of the throat, neck, ears and airway. Dr. Sher has experience diagnosing and treating sleep conditions, airway and breathing conditions and hearing disorders in pediatric patients.

Dr. Sher chose to become a doctor in part because she was inspired by her parents, both of whom are doctors. Seeing their commitment to serving others and how they cared for their patients shaped her career path. In her own practice, Dr. Sher works closely with each patient and their family to evaluate their symptoms and conditions, improving their day-to-day life and achieving their goals together.

Dr. Sher is excited to return to Columbia, where she grew up. She and her husband have a daughter, as well as two cats (Ari and Fletcher) and two German shepherds (Winnie and Fritz). Dr. Sher’s hobbies include spending time with her family, skiing, reading, running and spending time outside.
