About
Durdana Iram, MD, is a pediatric pulmonologist who holds board certification in pediatric medicine and pediatric pulmonology. For more than two decades, she has provided expert diagnosis, care and management for a range of breathing and lung conditions in children and adolescents, including asthma, cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease, respiratory infections and sleep-related breathing disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea.
Dr. Iram chose to become a doctor because she has always been passionate about helping others and making a positive impact on their lives. From a young age, Dr. Iram was fascinated by the human body and how it works and wanted to be part of a profession that combines science with compassion. Seeing a child breathe easier and live a more active life because of the care she provides is the most fulfilling aspect of her job. She provides compassionate, collaborative, patient-centered care that involves the entire family and focuses on the individual physical, emotional and social aspects of each child’s health.
In her personal time, Dr. Iram enjoys recharging in nature and watching the birds that come to her bird feeders, particularly hummingbirds. She is passionate about cooking and experimenting with new cuisines and recipes. Dr. Iram and her husband have three daughters and a son who keep the family busy and entertained, as well as the beloved family cat, Mintu.
