For serious injuries, access to a Level I trauma center matters. The Frank L. Mitchell, Jr., MD, Trauma Center in Columbia is the only Level I trauma center in central Missouri. It’s also one of only six adult Level I trauma centers in Missouri verified by the American College of Surgeons.

When limbs at risk, we can provide treatment options through the region’s only Limb Preservation Program. This team-based approach to reconstructive surgery helps avoid amputations whenever possible.
