University of Missouri Health Care's Outpatient Nutrition Program is a service available to all patients within and outside of the University of Missouri Health Care system. Registered dietitians are on staff to provide nutrition counseling, or medical nutrition therapy (MNT), for a variety of health conditions including, but not limited to, diabetes mellitus, renal disease, overweight and obesity, common gastrointestinal disorders and disorders of lipid metabolism. The goal of our dietitians is to work with you to develop a customized plan to help you learn to prevent disease progression and manage your health through diet and exercise.
Appointments A physician referral is required. Your physician can provide a referral to the program or our staff can assist in acquiring a referral. Click here for important information prior to your first visit with one of our dietitians.
