College of American Pathologists
The College of American Pathologist accredits hospital and other health care laboratories that meet stringent guidelines designed to improve patient care, strengthen quality standards and reduce the risk of errors. University Hospital's labs and Ellis Fischel Cancer Center's labs were most recently accredited in 2009, and the Women's and Children's Hospital labs were most recently accredited in 2010.
