COLUMBIA, Mo. — University of Missouri Health Care cardiovascular specialists will offer free heart-healthy screenings from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 16, at Macy’s, 201 N. Stadium Boulevard, Columbia.

Body mass index measurements, as well as blood-pressure and cholesterol screenings will be offered at the event. An eight-hour fast is required to conduct a cholesterol screening and must be scheduled. Space is limited for cholesterol screenings.

Health care professionals will also be available to answer questions and provide information about additional heart-related issues such as smoking cessation, heart-healthy nutrition and exercise.
