COLUMBIA, Mo. ― Mid-Missouri Dairy Queen restaurants will host a Miracle Treat Day fundraiser on Thursday, July 26, to benefit University of Missouri Health Care’s Children’s Hospital. Restaurants located in Columbia, Fulton, Vandalia, Jefferson City, Boonville, Fayette and Mexico will participate in the event.
For every Blizzard Treat sold that day, Dairy Queen will donate $1 to $2 to MU Children’s Hospital, mid-Missouri’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
Supporters may also give to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and MU Children’s Hospital by purchasing a “Miracle Balloon” for $1 or $5 each. The balloons can be personalized and will be displayed at participating Dairy Queen restaurants throughout July.
MU Children’s Hospital is one of 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals nationwide. All money raised from mid-Missouri restaurants during Miracle Treat Day will remain in the local community to help children served by MU Children’s Hospital.
Children’s Hospital is the largest and most comprehensive pediatric health care center in mid-Missouri. Housed at Women’s and Children’s Hospital, the 156-bed hospital is the only facility in central Missouri offering comprehensive, specialized children’s services such as neonatal transport, child life therapy, a pediatric intensive care unit, and a pediatric hematology and oncology outpatient unit.
Since 1984, American Dairy Queen Corporation has raised over $90 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
