Family Medicine
Family medicine is the medical specialty that provides continuing and comprehensive health care for individuals and families. The cornerstone of family medicine is an ongoing, personal patient-physician relationship focused on integrated care. Our family medicine physicians integrate the biological, clinical and behavioral sciences to treat all ages, sexes, each organ and every disease. They emphasize preventive care and long-term relationships with patients. Our family medicine clinics are conveniently located throughout Columbia as well as Fayette and Fulton.

General Internal Medicine
Doctors of internal medicine focus on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases. The University Physicians internists are equipped to deal with whatever problem a patient brings - no matter how common or rare, or how simple or complex. They are specially trained to solve diagnostic problems and treat severe chronic illnesses. They also bring to patients an understanding of wellness, women's health, substance abuse and mental health, as well as effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system and reproductive organs. Our general internal medicine clinics are conveniently located throughout Columbia.

General Pediatrics
Pediatricians offer primary care for children from birth to age 18, including well-child checks, immunizations and treatment for routine illnesses. Our board-certified pediatricians have the highest level of knowledge and skills to provide your child with exceptional care in a kid-friendly environment. Our pediatricians are affiliated with MU Children's Hospital, mid-Missouri's only hospital dedicated exclusively to kids. So, if your child needs specialty care, our pediatricians have direct access to the comprehensive array of pediatric specialists at MU Children's Hospital. Our pediatrics clinic is conveniently located near the corner of Green Meadows Road and Stadium Boulevard.

Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med-Peds)
Internal medicine and pediatrics (med-peds) is a specialty in which physicians are trained in both internal medicine and pediatrics, and are experts in the comprehensive care of both adults and children. Med-peds physicians take care of patients across the entire spectrum of age groups - newborns and young children, adolescents and adults, in addition to offering a wide array of services including preventive care and screening, acute illness care and management of chronic diseases. Our med-peds clinic is located in south Columbia.
